Woodhands is a psychedelic dance party built on blood and sweat, with some ass-shaking and nerd appeal thrown in for good measure. Built out of the sexy keyboard playing of Dan Werb, woodhands is an ever-changing live experience featuring only one constant: a deep love of dirty, distorted synth lines and crazily danceable beats.

After the release of their debut album, woodhands toured Canada and Europe, and has since shared stages with such acts as The Junior Boys, Holy Fuck, Battles, The Zoobombs, The Hylozoists, Gentleman Reg, Ohbijou, Born Ruffians, Henri Faberge and the Adorables, The Bicycles and others.

Combining the warmth of analog sounds with the anger of distortion pedals and the cold hard touch of German techno musicians, Woodhands simply cannot be stopped. Dance to it if you like. Cry to it if you must. But be warned: there is no way to stop yourself from having sex to it.

Songwriter and frontman Dan Werb (Henri Faberge and the Adorables, Andyland) is now joined by drummer Paul Banwatt (The Rural Alberta Advantage, Township Expansion, We’re Scared), and vocalist Maylee Todd (Henri Faberge and the Adorables). Together, they are Woodhands. A Woodhands ep, titled Baggagetown, is quietly being released in early 2007, and a new studio album is being recorded in May 2007.
